Council Member Sullivan and his staff had the opportunity to tour the Lake Houston Wilderness Park and took the chance to learn more about the master plan. The 5,000 acre park was acquired from Texas Parks and Wildlife, and borders the north boundary of District E. The first phase of the master plan should be complete by late spring 2010, and includes $3.5 million worth of improvements including roads, shelters, bridges, cabins, and guard houses.
