The Houston Solid Waste Management Department hosted its 20th Annual Driver’s and Mechanics’ Road-E-O on May 16th. Council Member Sullivan attended the event that gave the drivers and mechanics the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and compete against co-workers for a chance to compete in the state competition. Drivers had to maneuver trash trucks, tractor trailers and automated trucks through obstacle courses, and mechanics had to complete a written exam and trouble shoot practical problems.
