Council Member Sullivan and invited guests gathered at Mission Control at the Johnson Space Center to watch the launch of STS-127. The 7 member crew departed for their 15 day mission to deliver a Kibo Japanese Experiment Module Exposed Facility and Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section and to drop off astronaut Timothy L. Kopra and return astronaut Koichi Wakata.
