On August 7th, Council Member Sullivan had a public ribbon cutting ceremony for the Kingwood community to mark the occasion of the reopening of the Woodland Hills Bridge and the tireless efforts of the City of Houston’s Public Works Department. Kingwood residents, city officials and the Kingwood Service Association joined together to celebrate the completion of construction and allowable public access to the bridge and neighboring Rivergrove Park. Several people gathered to cut the ribbon granting access to the bridge for the first time since April. Kingwood resident, Jim Harding was the first one to drive across the bridge.
