Downtown Courthouse Temporarily Closes at 6PM, Thursday, February 21
February 21, 2019 -- The Herbert W. Gee Municipal Courthouse, located at 1400 Lubbock Street, will be temporarily closed beginning at 6:00PM, Thursday, February 21, 2019, and will reopen at 8:00AM, Friday, February 22, 2019.
Individuals scheduled for court Thursday, February 21, 2019, 6PM - 9PM, must reset their case(s) in person at any of our six court locations beginning at 8:00AM, Friday, February 22, 2019 through 5:00PM, Friday, March 1, 2019.
The Municipal Courts Department offers several online options that are available as means to resolve court matters. Interested persons may visit www.houstontx.gov/courts/forms.html to download the form(s) needed to request a trial setting, request the Driving Safety Course (DSC) by mail, or to submit proof of compliance by mail. Payments for fines are accepted online at www.houstontx.gov/courts/ticket_payments.html. Payments are also accepted via:
- Western Union (code: Ticket Texas); or
- US Mail (P.O. Box 4996, Houston, Texas 77210-4996).
The Herbert W. Gee Courthouse will resume normal hours of operation at 8:00AM, Friday, February 22, 2019.
