HOUSTON MUNICIPAL COURT TO CLOSE IN PREPARATION OF HURRICANE RITA

LogoSeptember 21, 2005 -- Following Mayor Bill White's recommendations to have all employers dismiss non-essential employees for the next two days in preparation for Hurricane Rita , all locations of the Houston Municipal Courts will remain closed for business on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (September 22, 23, 24 and 25, respectively).

Citizens who are cited for any of those days must make arrangements to reschedule.  Arrest warrants will be issued against those who fail to reschedule.  Requests for reset may only be done in person beginning on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 through Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the Public Service Counter at 1400 Lubbock.  Resets may also be requested at the following locations:
