September 16, 2008 -- The City of Houston Municipal Courts will resume business effective WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2008 . Individuals, who had court settings on 9/11, 9/12, 9/13, 9/15 and 9/16, will be given the opportunity to reset their case(s).
Resets will be given IN PERSON , at ALL CITY OF HOUSTON COURT LOCATIONS , beginning WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2008 , through FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2008 . Please visit Municipal Court's website at www.houstontx.gov/courts for information on all Court locations. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE that if an individual fails to reset their case(s) during this reset period (SEPTEMBER 17-26, 2008), AN ARREST WARRANT WILL BE ISSUED.
THERE WILL BE NO TRIALS (by Judge or Jury). Trials will resume on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2008 . Anyone scheduled for trials on those days must come in person to receive a new trial date from Wednesday September 17, 2008 through Friday, September 26, 2008.
THERE WILL BE NO JURY SERVICE through FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008 . Individuals who are scheduled for jury service on THESE DAYS will be rescheduled and will be notified by mail of their new date.
ALL RED LIGHT CAMERA PROGRAM and PARKING ADJUDICATION hearings are cancelled for this week. Hearings resume on Monday, September 22, 2008. If you have a hearing scheduled for this week (September 15-19), you will be rescheduled and notified by mail of your new hearing date.
