September 19, 2008 -- The City of Houston Municipal Courts has resumed business. Individuals, who had court settings from Thursday, September 11, 2008 through Tuesday, September 16, 2008 will be given the opportunity to reset their case(s). Resets will be given IN PERSON, at ALL CITY OF HOUSTON COURT LOCATIONS, through FRIDAY October 3, 2008. ****** IMPORTANT***** If an individual fails to reset their case(s) during this reset period Wednesday, September 17, 2008 through Friday, October 3, 2008, AN ARREST WARRANT WILL BE ISSUED.
THERE WILL BE NO TRIALS (by Judge or Jury). Trials will resume on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2008 . Anyone scheduled for trials on those days must come in person to receive a new trial date from Wednesday ,September 17, 2008 through Friday, October 3, 2008.
THERE WILL BE NO JURY SERVICE through FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008. Individuals who are scheduled for jury service on THESE DAYS will be rescheduled and will be notified by mail of their new date.
ALL RED LIGHT CAMERA PROGRAM and PARKING ADJUDICATION hearings are cancelled through Friday, September 26, 2008. Hearings resume on Monday, September 29, 2008. If you have a hearing scheduled for this period (September 15-26), you will be rescheduled and notified by mail of your new hearing date.
