Until recently, tow contests were heard at the Houston Municipal Court. However, effective September, 1, 2005, jurisdiction of hearings requested under Chapter 685 of the Texas Transportation Code is in the Justice Court having jurisdiction in the Justice of the Peace Precinct in which the vehicle storage facility is located.
