Derrick Spearman
Library
Derrick Spearman helped Davis Lane Perkins twice.

“I didn’t know what I was doing, but he walked me through the process,” Perkins wrote. “Thank you for your choice of employees. He was pleasant and knowledgeable, and he remembered the patron.”

Michael Howard, Allen Largent, Pete Stockton
Public Works & Engineering
Michael Howard, Allen Largent and Pete Stockton answered questions and clarified inspection points for the Texas Lathing and Plastering Contractors Association, wrote Eddie McCormick, executive director.

Other code officials should take the time to research industry standards the way the city of Houston representatives do, McCormick wrote.

“I commend you, Mr. Stockton, on your thoroughness,” McCormick wrote. “I wish other field inspectors would take the time to dig deeper when it comes to important issues. It’s the relationships with municipalities and industry leaders that make for better-built buildings.”

Isaiah Osazuwa
Affirmative Action
Isaiah Osazuwa was helpful and resourceful in assisting me with my MWBA certification,” wrote Terrence Verwayne of Zuriel Enterprise Services. “His expertise and knowledge resolved my problem immediately.

“He did his job well. On his next evaluation, he should be given a commended performance.”

When he walked into the Walter Library branch, he was greeted with big smiles and plenty of willingness to help, Charles Metcalf wrote.

Metcalf works for a nonprofit, and he needed information on life skills, health and beauty aids and passing the GED. He easily and quickly got the help he needed.

“This branch is very efficient,” Metcalf wrote.

Tim Lincoln
Public Works & Engineering
It’s refreshing to ask a question of a large, complex organization and get a quick, concise answer, wrote Charlie Head after dealing with Tim Lincoln.

“I suspect you guys don’t get many thank-yous, but please accept ours. Well done,” wrote Head, senior vice president of Stage Stores Inc.
