The Health Museum - The John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science, also known as The Health Museum, is Houston's most interactive science learning center and a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center.

 

Located in the heart of the city's rich and varied Museum District, The Health Museum encourages growing interest and regard for healthier lifestyles, fitness and good physical, mental and spiritual health. RACE: Are We So Different (October 15, 2011 to January 1, 2012)
Race and racism.  The words alone can conjure up some of the strongest emotions, both positive and negative, in everyone, regardless of age, race or gender.  Beginning Oct. 15, The Health Museum will approach these social issues from a scientific standpoint with the Houston premiere of the exhibit, RACE: Are We So Different? locally sponsored by Fiesta Mart, Inc.

 

Cells: The Universe Inside Us (January 28 to August 26, 2012)
The human body is made up of millions of cells that are constantly working. Cells: The Universe Inside Us gives visitors a chance to see what happens inside their body every day. Walk through a giant cell, perform virtual experiments, make protein shapes with your shadow and more!
