Fire Fatalities January - December 2007

  • There were 16 residential fire fatalities in the City of Houston in 2006.
  • Structure Types : 63% - single family, 25% - multiple family
  • Time of Day: 38% - 12am to 6am, 19% - 6am to 12pm, 25% - 12pm to 6pm, and 19% - 6pm to 12am
  • Area of The City: 19% in southwest Houston, 44% in southeast Houston, 6% in northeast Houston, and 31% in northwest Houston.
  • Race: 28% African-American, 33% White, 39% Hispanic.
