The "Get Alarmed Houston" program was introduced by HFD in December 2001, challenging the private industry to donate and help with installing smoke alarms. All smoke alarms are provided through donations or grants. For more information on how you or your company can help the Fire Department with this effort, please call our Public Affairs Division at 832-394-6633. If you are in need of a smoke alarm or know someone in the City of Houston who needs a working smoke alarm, please call our Public Affairs Division at 832.394.6633 or submit a request.

SAFE Congregation Program
The Public Affairs Division of the Houston Fire Department wants to help the members of your congregation prevent fire related deaths and injuries where ever they occur. We are especially concerned about fire safety in the home because that is where people are most at risk. Your church can become an active participant in fire prevention.
