Tours, Visits, and Parades  
The Fire Department offers the opportunity for citizens to request fire trucks to visit their event, tour a fire station and request HFD in a parade, give presentations and safety speeches. Restrictions apply and all request may not be full-filled.

Please Note:

Tours are limited to no more than 30 people per visit (total children and adults and we can not host parties or other activities.

We are not able to scheduled fire truck visits for private residences or for private events such as birthday parties.

Speakers, Health Fairs, Safety Trailer

Teen Driver Safety
For groups of 50 or more that are new to driving or will be obtaining their drivers licenses in the near future. Three "pedal" cars with specialized "goggles" to let the "driver" experience and understand the dangers of drinking and driving or being under the influence. >> Read More about Teen Driver Safety

Adopt A Fire Station
The Adopt A Fire Station Program involves directing donor materials and services to the fire station the donor desires "to adopt." The Program does not replace the city's established fire station restoration program currently administered by the General Services Department. Rather, it serves as a supplement.

"Get Alarmed Houston!" Smoke Alarm Program
The "Get Alarmed Houston" program was introduced by HFD in December 2001, challenging the private industry to donate and help with installing smoke alarms. All smoke alarms are provided through donations or grants. For more information on how you or your company can help the Fire Department with this effort, please call our Public Affairs Division at 832-394-6633. If you are in need of a smoke alarm or know someone in the City of Houston who needs a working smoke alarm, please call our Public Affairs Division at 832.394.6633 or submit a request.

SAFE Congregation Program
The Public Affairs Division of the Houston Fire Department wants to help the members of your congregation prevent fire related deaths and injuries where ever they occur. We are especially concerned about fire safety in the home because that is where people are most at risk. Your church can become an active participant in fire prevention.

Toy Drive
Every year, starting around mid-November, the Houston Fire Department along with other Houston area non-profit organizations collect new, unwrapped toys at all HFD Fire Stations now through mid-December. HFD gives these toys to local non-profit organizations to distribute. For more information call the HFD Public Affairs office email paul.box@houstontx.gov.
