History of Fire Station 20

Station 20 was annexed into the fire department in 1926 at the corner of Avenue F and 73rd in the old "Magnolia Park" township, and a new Station 20 was located in 1973 at Navigation and Marcario Garcia. This Station underwent moderate renovation in Fiscal Year 2005.

The Station suffered major damage as a result of Hurricane Ike in September 2008 and was closed until December 17, 2009.

A grand reopening ceremony was held on January 8, 2010.
