Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston Presents Major Donation to HFD

WHAT: The Houston Fire Department will be presented with more than $99,000 worth of life-saving equipment from the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston.
WHEN: Friday, April 25, 2008 at 12:30 p.m.
WHERE: HFD Val Jahnke Training Academy, 8030 Braniff off Telephone Rd. (in the back lot near the "burn building")
DETAILS: Fire Chief Phil Boriskie, Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association, Local 341 Jeff Caynon and Chairman of the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston will give brief remarks.
A demonstrative will be given of the equipment being donated, including: 8 Thermal Imaging Cameras, 32 EZ Radiocom II Units (communication devise that the firefighters wear) and 4 Blitz Monitors (portable monitors to increase the water flow).
The Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston is a non-profit organization that provides non-governmental funding to the Houston Fire Department. The Foundation raises funds throughout the year to assist the department.
