HFD Fire Station 8 Grand Opening Ceremony

The Houston Fire Department will host a grand opening ceremony for the new Fire Station 8, located at 1919 Louisiana on May 22, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Firefighters moved into the new station on April 21, 2008. They had previously been housed out of a temporary location just a block away on Milam.
The new station, the biggest fire station in HFD, is home to two engines, two ambulances, a district chief, shift commander and the HFD command van.
