Today, June 17, 2008, the Houston Fire Department, Houston Police Department and Child Protective Services reminded parents about summer safety tips for children during a joint press conference at Fire Station 33, 7117 Fannin.
The HFD, HPD and CPS remind parents about safety tips for babysitting, children home alone, children and fire, strangers, online predators and many other topics. The HFD also reminds parents to re-childproof their homes making sure lighters and matches are out of reach, pools are not accessible to children and other dangerous items are kept where children can not access them.
