HFD and Whataburger promote 4th of July Safety

HFD and Whataburger promote Forth of July Safety In a joint effort, the Houston Fire Department and Whataburger are reminding citizens that fireworks are not only dangerous, but also illegal in the city of Houston throughout this week.

This is our way of helping make sure they have a safe and wonderful 4th of July holiday."

Houston Firefighters will be at three Whataburger locations, listed below with safety information and literature about fireworks.

•  Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - 7210 FM 1960 West

•  Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - 6405 San Felipe

•  Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - 6888 Gulf Freeway, Suite 200

The HFD, Harris County Fire Marshal Office and F.A.A. will also be reminding citizens about the dangerous and ban of fireworks in the City, parts of the county and on airplanes, during a press conference, June 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the HFD Training Academy located at 8030 Braniff.
