Women's' Bureau Host Flex in the City Conference on Tuesday May 13th
The Women's Bureau of the U.S. Dept. of Labor and the City of Houston's Mayor's Office host the Flex in the City Conference on May 13 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, beginning at 8:30 am this one-day conference utilizing Houston's Flex in the City project will bring together representatives from state, local, and regional governments from across the country to focus on how government and businesses can work together to address peak time traffic issues, pollution, energy conservation, employee stress reduction, employee morale, and employee productions through the implementation of flex programs.
This conference is part of the Department of Labor Flex Options project. In 2003 The Women's Bureau of the U.S. Dept. of Labor launched their Flex Options project to address the issue of workplace flexibility, the goals of this project are to (1) build national awareness of the benefits of flexible workplace solutions and (2) encourage business owners to develop or expand flexibility practices. The Flexible Workplace Initiative is proud to be participating member in this great event and we encourage you to learn more and take part.
