Parking Management is a Customer-Service driven organization working to improve safety, traffic management and awareness, while supporting public transit initiatives. Our objective is to implement policies that use technology and human resources to provide quality services that are efficient, fair and equitable.

Parking Management is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors of the City of Houston by encouraging efficient movement of people and goods throughout the city.

Liliana RamboA leader with a strong background in the parking industry and over twenty two years of experience, Liliana L. Rambo joined the City of Houston Parking Management Division in April 2005.  Born in Colombia and raised in South Florida, Ms. Rambo is responsible for all the on-street parking operations for the City of Houston.  This operation includes a budget of over $13 Million, 61 staff members, and over 6,200 on-street parking spaces.  Liliana oversees the entire operation of parking management including, meter operations, 2 parking garages, parking enforcement, customer service/administration and future parking related economic development initiatives throughout the city’s 600 plus square miles.  She is the Recipient of the Texas Parking Association 2008 Distinguished Service Award, and under her direction, the City of Houston Parking Management Division received the International Parking Institute’s 2007 Parking Organization of the Year Award.

Ms. Rambo headed the City of Hollywood, Florida, Office of Parking Services from 2001-2005.  As Director, she was responsible for all parking and enforcement operations in the city.  As a member of the City of Hollywood Economic Development Roundtable, Ms. Rambo played an important role in the promotion of private and public sector joint ventures.  Ms. Rambo’s ability to understand and meet the parking needs of this community led to many new and innovative parking related customer service initiatives and programs.

Ms. Rambo was responsible for unprecedented revenue growth in the Parking Enterprise Fund at the City of Hollywood, as well as the planning, development and construction of four parking garages.  Ms. Rambo oversaw a parking system that included over 3500 parking spaces and 21 off-street parking lots and 2 parking garages. She managed a budget of over $5 million and a staff of over fifty (50) employees from four different divisions.

Liliana is a Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from St. Thomas University.   Ms. Rambo holds the position of Treasurer for the Executive Board of the International Parking Institute and is a board member of the Texas Parking Association.  She is a Past-President of the Florida Parking Association and has given several presentations at state and national parking conferences.
