The
Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) HDHHS
provides immunizations,
prenatal care, screening for sexually transmitted diseases
and tuberculosis control. Other
services include investigating air pollution
complaints, enforcing the smoking ordinance,
licensing and inspecting food establishments,
the food manager's
certification training course,animal
control, disease investigation, birth and
death certificates, health centers and multi-service
centers.The
Harris County Area Agency on Aging is
also part of HDHHS.
