Navneet Upadhyay,  B.Pharm
Research Intern

Navneet Upadhyay B.Pharm joined HMMP as research intern in May 2013. He received his bachelors in pharmacy from Rajeev Gandhi Prodyogiki Viswidyalaya, India. He is an aspiring pharmacoepidemiologist with strong biostatistical knowledge and currently he is pursuing masters in pharmacy administration at University of Houston. Mr. Upadhyay joined GlaxoSmithKline, India in 2011 as a medical business associate where he conducted market access research and pharmacovigilance activity, and was involved in promoting critical care medicines to medical professionals. To gain some practical exposure in epidemiology and application of epidemiological methods, he secured a research internship position under the supervision of Dr. Osaro Mgbere supervision in the Bureau of Epidemiology, Houston Department of Health. His current research with HMMP focuses on mental health and substance use problems among patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the effect on adherence to antiretroviral regimens and clinical outcomes.
