HMMP - Staff biographies

Shalak Gunjal,  B.Pharm               Research Intern
Shalak Gunjal, B.Pharm is currently a research intern with the Houston Medical Monitoring Project (HMMP). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Pune in India and is currently pursuing a Masters in Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy from the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy. He is a registered pharmacist by training and his previous experiences include involvement in pharmaceutical marketing and sales as a business officer and more recently as a project intern at the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health, Tufts Medical Center, Boston.  Mr. Gunjal provides research support on various ongoing HMMP projects. His current research endeavors include investigating the predictors of cancer screening and care utilization and incidence of types of cancer among HIV-Infected persons compared with the general population.
