STD training resources online
The federal Centers for Disease Control
(CDC) has announced a new on line resource guide for
sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs). The information is useful to
medical providers, the general public, community-based organizations
involved in HIV/STD prevention, health educators and anyone else
involved in HIV/STD matters.
To access STD 101 In-A-Box, go to http://www2a.cdc.gov/std101 and register for a password. Shortly after registration, you will
receive your password via e-mail. For medical providers, an
interactive clinical case management web site is available through the
National Network of STD/HIV Training Centers. This site provides a
variety of case scenarios that allow the user to select options on how
to manage a STD patient. For more information and to access the site
go to: http://www.stdhivtraining.org/nnptc/about.cfm.
