See to Succeed Program

Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) has partnered with University of Houston, San Jacinto College, Kids Vision For Life (The Essilor Foundation)and the Berkley Eye Center to provide free vision exams and eyewear to children and youth in need.

These vision exams are held at a clinic centrally located in Houston and approximately 350-400 children are bused in each day from area schools around the city to attend.

How to Enroll in See to Succeed

To schedule an appointment for a vision clinic, please email Corrie Rae at and tentatively reserve your clinic date. Please note that you are not confirmed for your clinic date until your signed consent forms are received by See to Succeed staff. Consent form deadlines are listed above.



We are need of volunteers to help guide and escort the children through the clinic and ensure each child is safe and receives services. To volunteer, click here or contact or call 832-393-4822.
