Community Relations Specialist
The community relations specialists assist clients in connecting them to a particular service such as emergency food, emergency assistance with rent and utilities, medical support, and other issues affecting clients. Call for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. / 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Functions as an one-stop shop to serve anyone needing assistance with completing applications for health service programs. Eligibility for Houston Health Department Health Centers can be determined on-site. Provides application completion for Harris County Financial Assistance Program, Texas Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Healthy Texas Women program.
Houston Food bank Senior Box Program
Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Houston Food Bank Senior Box Program provides a monthly box of food to low income seniors to improve the health, nutrition and well-being of their lives.

The Houston Public Library, Express Southwest provides a large collection of resources for children, students, professors, small business owners, and anyone looking to take advantage of the technology resources available. Workshops and other free programs are available for the entire family in a safe and welcoming space.

BakerRipley Senior Services provides meals on-site to seniors older than 60. Includes social services, exercise, nutrition education, and other programming to keep the senior population fit, physically, mentally and emotionally.
