Dogs, cats available weekends through holiday pet adoption project
The Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care at the Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) and several volunteer organizations will open two weekend pet adoption centers during the holiday season.
Spayed or neutered dogs and cats with required vaccinations will be available for adoption.
The adoption center at Houston Pavilions, 1201 Fannin Street, will open Nov. 29 through Dec. 28 on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Highland Village adoption center, 4056 Westheimer Road, will open December 12-21 on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Other project sponsors include, Friends of BARC, Pup Squad, RedCollar, Furry Pals and Lucky Leash.
