Dogs, cats available through weekend pet adoption center

A weekend pet adoption center will open through February at Highland Village, 4030 Westheimer Road.

Spayed or neutered dogs and cats with required vaccinations and an implanted microchip are available for adoption Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Adoptions cost $55 per animal.

The project sponsors are the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC), Friends of BARC and Saving Animals.
