I'm Bill White, Mayor of Houston.

Houston is so proud to host the Housing and Employment Resources Expo. You know, we're all about removing barriers between people with disabilities and opportunities for housing and improvement of the quality of life.

The whole expo is free, and so we welcome the people who could be benefiting from something like this expo. I'll tell you why. You'll hear information about employment opportunities. There's plenty of employers willing to hire people willing to work and to learn a job.

And you'll also find things about how to improve the quality of life. There's such things as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits, how work affects that. And how one can adapt a house to make it more livable for somebody who's overcoming a barrier.

So we look forward to employers and those within our disabled community helping us to help Houstonians. We're a great city of opportunity. There's no barrier too big for us to overcome.
