One of Houston's most beautiful tree-lined streets is Bayland Avenue, located in one of Houston's most historic neighborhood, Woodland Heights.

The Art Car Parade draws almost 300 custom made cars and 250,000 spectators along Allen Parkway, early in May every year. The Parade is administered by the Orange Show Foundation. The next Art Car Parade is scheduled for May 12, 2007.
Located on Montrose Boulevard, Art League Houston called this work Inversion: A House Installation by Dan Havel and Dean Ruck. This building was demolished in 2006 to make room for a new Art League building.
The George Bush Monument is located along Buffalo Bayou, at the corner of Franklin @ Bagby, in Sesquicentennial Park, across from the Wortham Center. The park was dedicated in December 2004.

The Houston Fire Department introduced 40 new units on April 28, 2005 at Reliant Park. The units were purchased through a $6.3 million Community Development Block Grant.
