COME HOME:  “The Home Buying Process”

On March 29th the City of Houston Mayor’s Office and the Greater Houston Builders Association hosted COME HOME: “The Home Buying Process”. It was an unprecedented event providing Houstonians with a wealth of information on the home buying process.

Over seventy-five exhibitors participated including builders, lenders, resource agencies, and housing counseling agencies. These exhibitors provided one-on-one consultation for those who attended.  People were given the opportunity to discuss credit issues, resource options, lending options, and an opportunity to choose their dream home.

A comprehensive forum provided the following information to those who attended:

• The home buying process

• City of Houston Homebuyer Assistance Program
• South Eat Texas Housing Finance Corporation Bond Programs
• The Importance of Housing Agencies
• B’Free Credit Counseling
