Colbe Beavers
I have a personality that is full of energy and "get it done" attitude which generally works well with everyone. Although, I can be very outspoken at times, I still doubt myself from time to time. I love to do anything artsy. I am well spoken, friendly, and I love people.
I wanted to be involved with the council to experience politics. It was important to me to be able to represent youth of Houston, that were like me, caring but not always heard. The responsibility and empowering feeling that comes from being in one of these "seats" on the youth council; the ability to speak directly with the City's council members and the mayor about issues that concern us as youth has shown me how important it is to have a voice.
I absolutely love to dance, it is my passion. I can be very shy and bashful at times, however I work hard for people not to be able to tell. I love helping other youth like me find their voices and build their leadership skills to their full potential.
