Mr. Goldberg is an Epidemiology Investigator? You may be thinking: What does that mean?
Well, what it means is that Mr. Goldberg is a key member of the city’s staff. He is on the front lines of tracking – and recording – diseases, outbreaks and medial trends.
When disaster strikes, he is one of our top rapid support team members. During Hurricane Ike, Mr. Goldberg practically lived at the George R. Brown Convention Center, interviewing triage patients, helping displaced residents with FEMA contacts and sometimes lending a comforting ear to those stressed out from the storm.
He works with various health agencies, helping them provide aid to HIV patients. He often helps indigent HIV patients with referrals to get the help they need. He is a co-team leader for the AIDS Walk annual marathon, and is an HDHHS Wellness Ambassador.
Mr. Goldberg is involved with many other projects and committees, so many that to list them all would take a while. Let’s just say that, when asked how many committees he sat on, Mr. Goldberg joked: “Too many.”
But it can never be too many for us. And we are grateful for his time, service and energy to the city.
That is why we present this BRAVO! certificate to Brian Goldberg.
