Trudell Eldridge

As a result of her dedication, 1,200 people who needed blood are alive today.

Ms. Eldridge really gives of herself to help others: The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center recently presented her with the “Celebration of Life” award for her outstanding contributions and volunteerism. As a result of her dedication, 1,200 people who needed blood are alive today.

The same level of dedication is apparent in her work as a paralegal in the real estate division. In 2004, she received Legal’s Eagle Award, given to employees who excel in their job. Trudell won the award for her ability to problem solve and use resources and time efficiently. Her supervisor, Dennis Alexander, says her professionalism and quiet demeanor proves a valuable assist in her dealings with individuals in the Housing & Community Development Department.

Now let’s go back to the difference Trudell makes when she’s off the clock, when she could be sitting back watching reality TV. Instead, she works actively to change other people’s realities. She’s chairperson of Bill T. Teague Community Advocates, a group she helped form in 2005 to increase awareness of the need for blood donations. She’s also a member of the American Cancer Society, and she serves on the gala planning committee for the Sickle Cell Society of the Texas Gulf Coast.

Oh yeah, and in her spare time, Trudell has competed in four marathons, and she frequently participates in charity fun run/walks.

Because she’s always on the move to help others, we present this BRAVO! certificate to Trudell Eldridge.
