An airport security officer at Hobby Airport, Mr. Mitchell has continuously been recognized for providing superior customer service.

Mr. Mitchell gives additional attention to those requiring assistance for cultural or physical reasons and does so in an exemplary manner. Some have made the effort to return to the airport just to thank him. Over the years, his supervisors have received numerous letters of recommendation from those he has assisted.

On one occasion, Mr. Mitchell apprehended an armed suspect who later admitted to robbing a woman in the airport’s parking garage.

He is generous in his off-duty hours. He built bunk beds and moved furniture to restore living conditions for the Casa Phoenix Youth House for troubled teens.

He is a member of the Civil Air Patrol and was included in “Who’s Who Among Black Port Arthurans.”

We present Clarence F. Mitchell with this Bravo Award.
