Mr. Fitzpatrick is a senior sideloader operator in the northwest collection division. He has been an outstanding employee for more than 25 years. His supervisors and Director Thomas Buchanan call him an outstanding employee exhibiting excellent performance.
But Mr. Fitzpatrick is involved in many worthwhile projects outside his job description.
He drummed up support for his department’s Trash and Treasure Curbside Food Drive for needy families. He has tirelessly volunteered his time in the community.
Mr. Fitzpatrick has been a Big Brother for more than 10 years.
He and his wife mentor troubled children and raised more than $7,000 to take underprivileged children to a basketball tournament in Dallas.
Mr. Fitzpatrick gives two percent of his annual salary to Big Brothers and Sisters and Kid Care, Inc.
He has assembled a staff to help at-risk children with homework, school and social issues, and Bible studies. And he is in the first stages of opening an outreach program to provide food and spiritual support for those less fortunate in his community.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is currently training to become a deacon in his church, the Candle Light Worship Center. It is said that his door is always open for children who need support.
We proudly name Roy Fitzpatrick as a Bravo Award recipient.
