Ms. Lopez is a dental assistant with the neighborhood services division. She has demonstrated exemplary internal and external customer service on a daily basis. At her own discretion, she compassionately makes post-operative follow-up calls to patients to make sure they’re doing OK.

Her supervisors said she does an absolutely incredible job and exemplifies the best values of the Health & Human Services Department in regard to accountability, quality of work, integrity, teamwork, innovation, compassion, competency, efficiency and being an outstanding human being.

Ms. Lopez volunteers for additional tasks, such as the organizing, collecting, packaging and distributing dental items to those most in need.

In the words of Director Stephen Williams: “Ms. Lopez is always willing to go the extra mile; not only to get the job done, but get it done with perfection. I know Mayor White will be proud and delighted to have Ms. Lopez receive this award.”
