Mr. Perkins is the “go-to guy.” If an employee needs help for an on-the-job-project or a citizen needs assistance in the community, Mr. Perkins is there for them.

Mr. Perkins is a senior planner and community liaison. His dedication to his job has brought rave reviews from management, council members and community leaders. In fact, his department awarded Employee of the Year for 2000 honors to Mr. Perkins.

Director Robert Litke says Mr. Perkins is the “go-to guy” for the department. If an employee needs help for an on-the-job-project or a citizen needs assistance in the community, Mr. Perkins is there for them.

Mr. Perkins plays a key role in the department’s Neighborhood Leadership Institute, the Direction and Connections Neighborhood Conference and has been a proactive liaison in the Alief Super Neighborhood Council.

He has been instrumental in the Stop Trashing Houston Campaign and in obtaining the Urban Forestry Grant.

Mr. Perkins has been active in volunteer activities, including neighborhood cleanup programs, Trees for Houston, the Houston Parks Board, the Houston Hope project and other nonprofit civic organizations.

Respected for his leadership qualities, we gladly call the name of Donald Perkins to receive this Bravo Award.
