I am excited to join with you for the
first time in the Combined Municipal Campaign
to raise money for a host of local, state
and national charities.
We have set our sights
high this year, with a goal of $544,880.
We know your generosity will help us meet
and exceed that goal.
Last year, more than $631,000
was raised. Nearly one-third of the city’s
21,000 plus employees participated.
Many of you distinguished
yourselves; 694 contributed 1 percent
or more of their salary to this effort.
And six departments can claim 100 percent
employee participation. We appreciate
your gift.
To those who coordinate
fundraising events,
we hope the friendships developed with
co-workers and the public make the time
spent all the more worthwhile. We are
on the road to accomplishing remarkable
things, and it can only be done with the
support of you, the employees of this
great city.
Sincerely,
Bill White

Wanda
Jones became a hero by taking in
her nieces and nephews after their
mother was killed. When the family’s
finances became stressed last Christmas,
aviation employees and three CMC
agencies came to Jones’ rescue.
