Johanna Bot’s  flat tire halted her car in a dangerous intersection on the Interstate 59 feeder.

Officer A. Evans stopped to find out if Bot needed a wrecker and parked her car behind Bot’s. Evans requested that the wrecker change the flat and made sure the driver didn’t charge an extortionate fee, Bot wrote.

“Officer Evans had a calming, caring manner that changed a rather stressful situation into an almost pleasant one,” Bot wrote

Laura Hanet was hysterical after getting into a car accident at Airline and Interstate 45. Officers J. L. Michael and C. T. Saunders calmed her down and made sure she was OK, Hanet wrote.

“That really meant a lot to me because I was really scared,” she wrote.  “Thank you.”
