Johnie Vollert So Hsieh parked in the first lot she saw, and a passerby gave her directions to walk to the post office on foot. She was headed that way when Officer Johnie Vollert pulled up beside her and asked if she needed help.
By then, she only had 15 minutes until the office closed, she wrote. He asked her if she wanted a ride, and she shouted, “Yes!” He got her to the post office with two minutes to spare and waited to drive her back to her car. “His actions showed how Officer Vollert is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to help citizens,” Hsieh wrote. “He was wonderful.”
