Stacy Broadrick, Rodney Harris, Paul Jacobson, and Terry Thompson kept Rex Westerfield alive on the ride from West Oaks Mall to the West Houston Medical Center.
“There is no way I can properly thank you and express my gratitude,” Westerfield wrote. “You are to be commended for your medical knowledge and your professional actions. I hope you take pride in your chosen field, as you are providing a great service to Houston.

His wife’s blood-sugar level dropped suddenly, leaving her nearly incapacitated, Bert Huebner wrote.
Within five minutes, William Arthur, Doug Descant, Superion Johnson, and Cameron Wood responded. They immediately recognized the problem, started an intravenous line and rushed her to the Hermann Medical Emergency Room. By the time she arrived, his wife had nearly fully recovered, Huebner wrote. Still, she was admitted for two days.
“Due to their prompt response and professional care, my wife is with us and doing quite well,” Huebner wrote.
