The City of Houston is pleased to announce the 2022 – 2023 Pathways College Internship Program, which provides insight into municipal careers and enriching, on-the-job experience that augments the studies and career aspirations of qualified college students.

The Human Resources Department is launching the 2022 – 2023 Pathways College Internship Program. Pathways provides qualified students with practical work experience that compliments their academic course work, as well as course credit (if approved by the college or university). Pathways also exposes students to a variety of careers in municipal government. Our city departments are committed to providing an enriching experience that will augment the students’ studies and career aspirations, as well as support the department’s operations.

Most internships are unpaid and range from 8 hours to 40 hours per week, as determined by the departments, intern and college/university (if applicable). Students can gain valuable work experience, on-the-job training, and have an opportunity to develop a professional networking base for future positions in municipal careers.

Applications for 2022-2023 will be accepted from September 6 - 14, 2022.
