For inspiration, they watched Bio-Dome

Team members are Dr. Suresh Pai, Guadalupe Garbalena, Heather Arredondo, Jorge Robles, Janelle Campbell, Tiffanie Truong, and Reginald Sawyer.

The national BioWatch program detects the release of pathogens into the air, giving warning to government and public health communities of a potential bioterrorism threat. BWEEP is an evaluation of all aspects of BioWatch, including field and laboratory site visits and written reports of daily activities to ensure that BioWatch is functioning under Department of Homeland Security procedures and protocols.

Perry won in the health, fitness and medical writing category for “Lung cancer kills with a puff of smoke,” in the Winter ’06 issue of Benefits Pulse. And Denton-Roach won for the HR Web site.

Outstanding in wastewater
