802 - MOTOR VEHICLE ASSIGNMENT AND USE (AP 2-2)
Administrative Procedure addressing the use of city or privately owned vehicles by city employees based upon job duties requirement. This procedure deals with operating and using a vehicle, requesting and approving vehicle assignment and/or home storage and requesting and approving reimbursement for use of a privately owned vehicle on city business. Included are various forms utilized for reporting.

803 - SOLICITATION (EO 1-51)
This Executive Order addresses direct or indirect access to city employees in the workplace by solicitors. It defines solicitation and addresses the limited amount of solicitation allowed.

2-12 - EMPLOYEE SUGGESTION PROGRAM
Administrative Procedure that encourage and recognize employee suggestions which promote economy, quality, efficiency and safety in city government. Policy defines the steps and responsibilities to establish fair, systematic and timely review and evaluation of employee suggestions. Included are eligibility guidelines and award structure.

1-11 - SMOKING POLICY
Executive Orders addressing the health and well-being of city employees and others on city property by prohibiting smoking in enclosed areas on properties under the ownership or control of the city.

1-32 - CDL DRIVERS ALCOHOL AND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
Executive Orders establishing procedures and guidelines for alcohol and controlled substance testing of city employees subject to DOT testing regulations and complying with various governmental ACTs.

1-33 - WORK ABILITY GUIDELINES
Executive Orders establishing comprehensive guidelines which coordinates all city programs, benefits and efforts that affect employees injured-on-the-job. Included also is the coordination of benefits and compensation programs for recovering employees.

1-37 - SECURITY ON CITY PREMISES
This directive addresses the security of city employees and other persons while on city premises. It establishes procedures for the operation of security systems on certain city premises including the posting by sign of certain city premises against entry by persons with weapons.

1-39 - ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL
This Executive Order establishes the Office of Inspector General which investigates allegations of employee misconduct, both criminal and administrative. Included are the powers and responsibilities of the Office.

1-41 - EXECUTIVE VEHICLE ASSIGNMENT AND ALLOWANCE
This policy deals with vehicle assignment or allowance for city executive staff who use a vehicle or incur transportation expenses while engaged in the performance of city business. The Office of the Mayor is responsible for overseeing this directive.

1-46 - UNIFORM POLICY FOR NON-CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES
Executive Order addressing the issuance and care of uniforms for municipal employees. Policy establishes standards for supplying readily identifiable uniforms to employees providing services in various settings.

1-48 - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECURITY
Executive Order on Information technology(IT) Security and the roles and responsibilities of personnel using and maintaining computer resources, electronic communications and internet access in the performance of their job function.

804 - PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY / CIVIC AFFAIRS
Policy advocating the City of Houston responsibilities to the community it serves by encouraging employees to participate in civic affairs and to practice good citizenship. Such activities normally should occur outside of the employee's working hours.
