The City's Lean Six Sigma program is certified by the IASSC becoming the first accredited public Lean Six Sigma deployment agency in the country. Over 10% of the City's workforce has completed our online yellow belt course (2 hours) and/or the more advanced Green and Black Belt courses. By spreading the program to every operational department and at every level of the organization, the program is fostering a culture of continuous improvement, the impacts of which will resonate for years to come.

The Green Belt certification is a 4-day course that trains employees to be change agents and lead process improvement projects. Students must successfully complete an intensive improvement project prior to certification. The Black Belt certification is a 16-day course that provides employees with advanced project management skills. |
