Jones Hall LogoMarch 12, 2003 -- Jones Hall for the Performing Arts (www.joneshall.org) remains open for business as usual despite the ongoing dispute between Houston Symphony musicians and Houston Symphony Society.

Tonight, famed flutist Sir James Galway will perform at Jones Hall beginning at 8 p.m. Galway is presented by Society for the Performing Arts, which has been one of the principal tenants at Jones Hall since the building was opened in 1966. SPA has no affiliation with Houston Symphony.

On Friday, SPA presents Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance, the international phenomenon that has broken box office records in more than 30 countries. Performances Friday and Saturday are at 8 p.m., Sunday at 7 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Although Flatley will not appear in this show, his dancers are all trained with his work ethic and precision-like style.
