Mayor Annise Parker needs you to help Houston lead Texas in celebrating our nation’s birthday! The Mayor’s Official Fourth of July Celebration, Freedom Over Texas, will bring thousands of people into the heart of Houston for food, fun, and fireworks!

To help put Houston’s best foot forward, we need your help as event volunteers. Assignments will include assisting as festival greeters, information and task runners, or tending any of the many booths that make up the festival’s infrastructure. In return for your time, you will be treated to world-class entertainment, free parking, excellent prize drawings, great refreshments, and a dazzling fireworks display. We hope to see you on the 4th!

VOLUNTEER PERKS
Volunteers who agree to work a double shift will receive a free dinner, plus a chance to win a one-night stay at the DoubleTree Hotel Houston Downtown, or a chance to win a pair of Southwest Airlines ® tickets. Free admission to the Festival - Check-in at Fonde Community Center, 110 Sabine (see the star in the map below). Free Parking in Lots C and H and Fonde Community Center Free soft drinks, water and snacks available at volunteer headquarters. Free event T-Shirts.

You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer unless otherwise approved. Assignments are on a first come, first serve basis. Please email us at mosevolunteer@houstontx.gov with any questions or concerns.
