January 20, 2007 --Project Houston Hope is an initiative of Mayor Bill White to stabilize and revitalize neighborhoods (Acres Homes, Clinton Park, Third Ward, Magnolia, Sunnyside, Settegast, Fifth Ward, and Trinity / Houston Gardens). The goal of Houston Hope is to transform these distressed neighborhoods into revitalized communities.
The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at 6820 Wheatley, in the Acres Homes Community.
