November 11, 2006 -- Mayor Bill White hosted the 8th annual Veteran's Day Parade. This year's Master of Ceremonies was Alan Hemberger, television anchor for KHCW-TV Ch. 39, and Parade Grand Marshals were Major General (Ret.) John H. Bailey, II, City of Houston Vice Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Berry, and City of Houston Councilman Adrian Garcia. Highlights included the 147th Wing Fighter Jet flyover, Parade of Heroes flyover at start of the parade, and the Black Daggers Parachute Team.
